the centre of Brittany, is the perfect place to spend a peaceful and
tranquil stage in the middle of the greenery. |
It is known that the site was populated during the Bronze Age (approximately 1000 BC). It is located on the Roman path between Rennes and Carhaix. Its metal, pottery and flax trade made of Loudéac one of the most important Breton cities during the Middle Age. The city will reconvert and overcome its economic hibernation during the Sixties through the establishment of agro-alimentary factories. Loudéac visitors, if they arrive at the adequate time, will be able to live the passion of Christ in the form of theatre. Tradition which dates from 1914. The tourists will also be able to stop at the "aquatides", leisure centre which offers "all the pleasures of water at good temperature". Lastly, for the amateurs, Loudéac and its surroundings abound with religious art as attested by the Saint Nicolas Church or “La Ferriere” 15 kilometers from Loudéac. In addition, the lovers of forest strolls will be served! |
